Municipal technicians of the Basauri City Council have declared a risk of collapse of the four properties affected by the fire recorded this Friday in Basauri (Bizkaia) on portal number 5 of Kareaga Calle Goikoa. Therefore, residents of number 5 will not be able to return to their homes and, for the moment, nor those of 1 and 7, until the structural safety of the burned property can be guaranteed, while the homes of portal number 3 are found uninhabited.
As reported by the Basauri City Council, after the fire that occurred yesterday in Portal number 5 of Kareaga Goikoa, 33 residents of this property and portals 7 and 1 were evicted, which, although they were not directly affected by the fire, were evacuated by caution. These 33 people have been housed in a hotel and will be guaranteed a transient housing solution while they cannot return to their homes.
